1) How does it work?
a) Dial the relevant access number for the country you wish to call (to be found on this web site).

b) At the prompt dial your international destination number in full (including 00)*

c) That's it, you're connected.

* Remember you can dial your destination number at any time during the prompt.

From any phone in the UK (including mobiles and payphones)

4) How much does it cost?
Calls start from 3p per minute.You pay your telephone provider just the access number rate for being connected (the 0870 or 0844, 0871, 0906 rates etc.). And that's it - no hidden charges!

Certain mobile networks will even include calls to 0870 and 0844 numbers in your FREE MINUTES!

5) How do I pay for my calls?
When you make a call via Calling Abroad you only pay for calling one of the access numbers. It is your service provider that will charge you - not us. So for example, if you made a 5 minute call to India from a BT phone, then next time you got your BT bill you would see a call to our 0871 number, a duration of 5 minutes and a charge of 45p and absolutely no charges by us. Simple!

That's it! Your call will be charged by your existing phone provider and appear on your next phone bill.

6) Can I call from my Mobile phone?
You can use this service from your mobile phone too - giving you massive savings compared to international mobile tariffs.

With some mobile tariffs UK National (0844) calls are bundled with your free minutes package!

Just make sure that you check Rate/mins with your mobile service provider before making your calls.

When you call from a mobile, remember to only press the call or send button after dialing the access number but not again after dialing the destination number.

Tricks to use when calling from your mobile

There's a simple trick to using the service from your mobile without having to keep dialing both the access number and the international number every time you use the service.

Here's how:
Simply add a pause between the access number and the international number you wish to dial:

Eg: You want to call Mum in Australia. So, you create a new entry called 'Mum' in your phone-book on your mobile and then when entering the number:

a) Enter the access number e.g. 0844 552 4313

b) Enter a 'pause'. This is done as follows depending on your brand of mobile

Nokia Phones:
A 'p' should appear after * has been pressed 3 times: ie 0844 825 1111 (*** will show a 'p')
Siemens/Panasonic Phones:
A '+' should appear after 0 has been pressed and held.

c) Now enter your international destination number in full including 00 and press save.

That's it - next time you want to call 'Mum' using just-dial simply find mum in your memory and press call!
